Data Engineer II

Job Summary

To support the Hospital Quality Reporting program, the full-time remote Data Engineer II will design, implement, and maintain backend systems and user interfaces, contribute to API development, and optimize data operations while collaborating with team members.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage test-driven development to enhance backend systems and user interfaces
• Contribute to the development of APIs and data models for integration with frontend applications
• Design and maintain data interactions, ensuring performance, scalability, and security

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience with Python and Apache Spark
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and distributed computing
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing suites
