Data Engineer II

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time salaried Data Engineer II will lead the design and implementation of Kimball-style dimensional models, drive platform modernization, and enforce data hygiene standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the data infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with the Director of Data to translate platform vision into engineering execution
• Design and implement Kimball-style dimensional models and migrate legacy data systems to a modern architecture
• Own data hygiene standards, proactively identifying and remediating data quality issues across the platform

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a track record of delivering complex data platform initiatives
• Deep expertise in dimensional modeling, including Kimball methodology and star/snowflake schema design
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and Python, capable of writing production-quality, maintainable code
• Strong command of dbt, with experience in custom tests, macros, and documentation generation
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake & Redshift and modern data stack tooling
