Data Engineer II
Job Summary
To support the Hospital Quality Reporting program, the full-time remote Data Engineer II will design, implement, and maintain data interactions, contribute to API development, and leverage test-driven development to enhance backend systems and user interfaces.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces based on UX designs to meet customer needs
- Contribute to the development of APIs, specifications, and data models for integration with frontend applications and third-party systems
- Optimize data operations for performance and scalability while ensuring data integrity and security
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience with Python and Apache Spark
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and distributed computing
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
