Data Engineer - Kafka

Job Summary

Seeking a contract Data Engineer - Kafka, the remote position will focus on developing and managing event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, Python, and Confluent Kafka, while integrating APIs and leveraging AWS data analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and troubleshoot event-driven architectures using AWS services and Confluent Kafka
• Implement API integrations, ensuring proper handling of REST requests and error management
• Develop data lake architectures and manage data processing using AWS tools like S3, Glue, and Redshift

Required qualifications

• Proven experience with AWS Lambda and Python
• Strong knowledge of Confluent Kafka, including topics, producers, and consumers
• Experience with AWS data analytics services such as Glue, Athena, and Redshift
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale integrations
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture design and troubleshooting
