Data Engineer (Pentaho Migration)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Data Engineer (Pentaho Migration) for a 6-month remote contract role focused on migrating Pentaho ETL jobs to AWS Glue, ensuring performance and reliability in a modern data pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Assess existing Pentaho ETL jobs and re-architect workflows into AWS Glue
- Build and optimize Glue Jobs, Crawlers, and Workflows while implementing CI/CD best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate data flows and provide documentation for knowledge transfer
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI)
- Proven expertise in AWS Glue, PySpark, and the AWS data ecosystem
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT patterns and data modeling
- Ability to analyze legacy systems and translate them into cloud-native architectures
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
