Data Engineer, State Licensed

Job Summary

To support the evolution of data infrastructure, the full-time remote Data Engineer, State Licensed will design and operate ETL and ELT pipelines, manage data ingestion and quality, and collaborate with innovation teams to enhance analytics capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable ETL and ELT pipelines in Python and SQL, ensuring seamless data ingestion and quality across various layers of the Medallion architecture
• Develop schemas and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance while maintaining clear documentation of datasets and pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources and prototype analytics tools that support internal stakeholders and drive decision-making

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering tasks
• Hands-on experience with building and maintaining pipelines in a lakehouse or modern data platform
• Practical understanding of Medallion architectures and layered data design
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools, including Spark or PySpark, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt
