Data Engineer with Secret Clearance

Job Summary

Designing and developing robust data infrastructure solutions, the contract Data Engineer with Secret Clearance will optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and AWS services while ensuring data security and compliance, working remotely within the DC area with occasional travel to Quantico.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data platforms in the cloud
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure data security, including PII handling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative data solutions for national security

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's (or equivalent experience)
• Active Secret clearance
• Proven expertise in AWS architecture and cloud data platforms (Data Lakes/Warehouses)
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Java, Scala, or R, with experience in data engineering tools
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines in cloud environments
