Data Engineering Associate Director

Job Summary

Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time Associate Director, Data Engineering will define the data engineering capability roadmap, set technical standards, and architect scalable data solutions on GCP while collaborating with various teams to deliver integrated data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the data engineering capability roadmap, establishing standards for pipeline design and maintenance
• Lead and develop a team of data engineers, providing technical direction and hands-on guidance on complex problems
• Architect scalable, production-grade data solutions on GCP, ensuring high quality and reliability of data engineering outputs

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical lead role
• Deep hands-on expertise with GCP, including BigQuery and related services
• Strong Python and SQL skills with experience in building production-grade data pipelines
• Proven experience in designing data warehouse and data mart architectures for analytics at scale
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; GCP certification is a plus
