Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time Data Engineering Manager will drive technical growth, champion scalable data processing systems, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to define data architecture and solution strategies in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development
• Champion the vision and execution of scalable data processing systems
• Establish and drive engineering best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization strategies

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of building and leading effective teams
• Strong technical background in distributed data systems
• Prior engineering experience with technologies such as Airflow, the Elastic Stack, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• Management experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional Product Teams
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threat detections, threat intelligence, or ICS/OT security
