Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of data engineers in building and optimizing a scalable data platform on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to a team of data engineers
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AWS-native data pipelines and platforms
• Act as the technical escalation point for the team and support AWS-hosted production data applications

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• AWS Professional or Specialty certifications (Data Analytics, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with 2-3 years in a leadership role
• Deep expertise in AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Kafka, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data security, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance in AWS
