Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Market Data Engineering Manager to lead the Data Engineering team responsible for managing market data platforms and ensuring high reliability and low latency.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of core data engineering initiatives, including market data platforms and scalable storage systems
• Lead and mentor the Data Engineering team, translating business needs into execution plans and engineering standards
• Own data ingestion and processing for live and historical datasets, defining SLAs and data quality metrics

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Data Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a lead role
• Prior experience in trading, HFT, systematic hedge fund, or similar
• Profound expertise in diverse types of market data
• Strong experience with streaming systems and distributed compute
• Proficiency in Python and at least one systems language (Rust, Go, or C++)
