Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading two sub-teams in a remote full-time capacity, the Engineering Manager, Data will own the platforms powering intelligence data products, focusing on ingestion, processing, and delivery while driving improvements in speed and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance a platform that supports over 1 petabyte of intelligence products, including batch processing and real-time API requirements
• Set technical direction for production systems, making strategic decisions on architecture and tooling
• Lead and hire for two sub-teams, raising technical quality and AI fluency across the organization

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data/engineering experience with at least 4 years in direct people management
• Experience owning production systems at scale, particularly customer-facing data products or APIs
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in BigQuery, Airflow, and data lake architecture
• Active use of AI tools to enhance development processes and challenge existing assumptions
• Strong judgment in making technological decisions that impact platform development
