Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time remote Data Engineering Manager will mentor staff, design scalable data pipelines, and oversee the development of enterprise-grade ELT processes to enhance healthcare data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, promoting continuous learning and innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable data pipelines aligned with business needs
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data quality frameworks and enterprise-grade ELT processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, healthcare, analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• 2+ years of experience with medical claims in healthcare and/or managed care
• Strong expertise in building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and programming languages such as Python or Spark
