Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Guiding a skilled team in a fully remote environment, the full-time salaried Manager of Data Engineering & Analytics will lead the development and improvement of enterprise data services, ensuring reliable and accessible data supports decision-making across Maine's public universities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing technical team
• Guide the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise data engineering and analytics services
• Partner with academic and administrative leaders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field with seven years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with five years of relevant experience
• Experience supervising technical staff or serving in a formal technical leadership role
• Experience overseeing enterprise data pipeline and ETL/ELT processes
• Knowledge of modern data architecture, data integration, and enterprise data management
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
