Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a high-leverage team, the full-time salaried Data Engineering Manager will oversee the infrastructure and pipelines that support credit decisioning, risk analytics, and financial reporting, while actively engaging in hands-on technical leadership and people management in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team of data engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
• Owning architecture and design decisions for data warehouse and transformation pipelines
• Driving the modernization roadmap, including migration to Iceberg/Spark and establishing data governance standards

Required qualifications

• 4+ years in a data engineering management or tech-lead-manager role, directly managing engineers
• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with pipelines, warehouses, or lakehouse platforms
• Experience with a modern data stack, including cloud data warehouses, transformation frameworks, and orchestration tools
• Working knowledge of streaming/event pipelines and lakehouse table formats is strongly preferred
• A proven track record of making architecture decisions that have been successful in production environments
