Data Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading the Data Engineering and Analytics team in a hybrid remote capacity, the full-time Manager of Data Engineering & Analytics will oversee technical execution and strategic direction of data initiatives, ensuring accurate reporting and fostering team development.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Data Engineers and Analysts, guiding their professional growth and performance
- Design and implement data products using modern technologies such as Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow, while ensuring a governed approach to data management
- Drive the team's transition towards predictive and prescriptive analytics, including the development of machine learning models and algorithms
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or engineering, with at least 2 years in a direct leadership role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Airflow
- Experience in developing predictive/prescriptive analytics or machine learning models
- Familiarity with handling sensitive data and knowledge of HIPAA/PHI regulations preferred
