Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a hybrid remote team, the full-time salaried Data Engineering Manager will oversee the Data Engineering and Analytics team, ensuring the delivery of accurate data reports and analyses while guiding the team's development towards predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts, fostering professional growth and skill development
• Design and maintain data products using modern technologies such as Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow, while implementing a governed approach to data reporting
• Set strategic goals for the team, aligning with company objectives and driving the adoption of machine learning models for enhanced data insights

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams
• Extensive experience with SQL, dbt, Airflow, and Python; familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools is preferred
• Proven ability to lead complex data initiatives and manage an intake and prioritization process
• Experience working in a healthcare context, with knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling preferred
