Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a hybrid remote team, the full-time Manager of Data Engineering & Analytics will oversee the Data Engineering and Analytics team, ensuring the delivery of accurate data reports and guiding the transition towards predictive and prescriptive analytics through machine-learning models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Data Engineering & Analytics team, providing mentorship and support for technical and professional development
• Design and implement data products using modern technologies such as Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow, while ensuring a governed approach to reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with company objectives and deliver timely, high-quality data products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering, with at least 2 years in a direct people-leadership role
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data engineering tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Airflow
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience in developing predictive/prescriptive analytics
• Familiarity with HIPAA/PHI handling and experience working with sensitive data in a healthcare context preferred
