Data Engineering Senior Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time Data Engineering Senior Manager will design, build, and enhance scalable data platforms on Databricks and Azure while mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality delivery in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures on Databricks and Azure
• Manage a team of 5-8 data engineers, overseeing hiring, performance management, and career development
• Plan and orchestrate the team's portfolio of data engineering work, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery aligned with business priorities

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience in data engineering with hands-on delivery on Databricks and the Azure data ecosystem
• Demonstrable experience in managing data engineers, including hiring and performance management
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade data platforms and pipelines at scale
• Ability to lead complex technical work through influence in a global, matrixed environment
• Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns and DataOps practices
