Data Foundation Lead

Job Summary

To support the Data & Analytics department, the remote Data Foundation Lead will define and govern Azure-based data architecture, integrate lab systems into a scalable platform, and establish data models ensuring compliance and standardization.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design, and govern end-to-end Azure-based data foundation architecture for lab and enterprise data ecosystems
• Integrate lab systems such as LIMS and scientific instruments into a scalable Azure lakehouse platform
• Implement governance, metadata management, and compliance measures using Microsoft Purview and other tools

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LIMS platforms (e.g., LabWare, STARLIMS, Thermo Fisher)
• Experience with SDMS solutions (e.g., BIOVIA, Waters NuGenesis, LabVantage)
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and scientific data lifecycle management
• Proficiency in Azure Data Architecture, including ADLS Gen2 and Databricks
• Knowledge of governance frameworks, including Microsoft Purview and regulatory compliance standards
