Data Foundations Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Foundations & Lineage Engineer to build and maintain a core data ecosystem for Learning Data Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, document, and maintain the structure, lineage, quality, and meaning of datasets within the Learning Lake
• Develop end-to-end lineage for Learning datasets and eliminate manual or undocumented data feeds
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure data design supports reporting, modeling, and AI use cases

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data governance
• Expert SQL and data profiling skills, with hands-on experience in Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Synapse
• Familiarity with metadata systems, data cataloging, and lineage tooling
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing data environments
