Data Governance Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Governance Analyst (W2).

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation and operational use of the Atlan data catalog and maintain business glossary terms and technical metadata
• Assist with the execution of data governance processes and document governance procedures, guidelines, and best practices
• Act as a liaison between business, technical, and governance teams to improve metadata quality and track governance metrics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, and metadata management
• Experience working with a data catalog or governance platform (Atlan preferred; Collibra, Alation acceptable)
• Strong understanding of business vs. technical metadata and data governance concepts
• Hands-on experience supporting an Atlan implementation is preferred
