Data Governance Analyst

Job Summary

To support enterprise initiatives focused on data governance and secure data deletion, the contract Data Governance Analyst will work remotely to establish and validate data deletion controls, strengthen governance processes, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to implement data deletion controls and governance processes
• Conduct dataset discovery, data inventory, metadata management, and data classification across enterprise data environments
• Develop and execute test plans and control validation procedures to verify governance controls and identify risks

Required qualifications:

• Strong experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Privacy initiatives
• Proven ability to design and implement data deletion controls and governance processes
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Delta Lake
• Strong proficiency in Advanced SQL and experience with Python and PySpark for data analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
