Data Governance Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance data trust within the Enterprise Data Platform, the full-time Data Governance Engineer will architect and implement an enterprise data quality framework, automate governance processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and build a framework defining trusted data across various dimensions, ensuring data quality and compliance
- Translate data quality concepts into measurable rules and integrate governance checks into developer workflows
- Develop and maintain data contracts and contribute to the metadata platform to support discoverability and trust scoring
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related field with a focus on data reliability
- Hands-on experience with data validation frameworks and quality rule engines in a cloud-native environment
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Big Query or a comparable cloud data warehouse
- Experience integrating data trust metadata into a data catalog, with Collibra experience being a strong plus
