Data Governance Lead

Job Summary

To enhance data governance practices, the full-time remote Data Governance Lead will establish ownership and stewardship across data domains, develop a comprehensive data quality framework, and maintain a robust data dictionary while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Scale existing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and ownership across all datasets
• Define and implement a data quality framework with measurable metrics and drive continuous improvement
• Document and maintain business definitions to ensure consistency and clarity across all data domains

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management
• Proven ability to build data governance programs from the ground up
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing data definitions and ownership
• Experience with data governance tools such as BigQuery, dbt, or Unity Catalog
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like GDPR and CCPA as they relate to data governance
