Data Governance Principal

Job Summary

Serving as an enterprise authority on data and knowledge governance, the full-time remote Associate Principal Data Governance will define long-term strategy, shape enterprise policy, and advise executive leadership on governance, risk, and regulatory matters while enabling trusted data and compliance across information domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise data and knowledge governance strategy and operating models aligned to industry frameworks
• Lead enterprise-wide governance risk assessments and regulatory readiness efforts, ensuring compliance with privacy and financial services requirements
• Advise executive leadership on governance implications of AI, GenAI, and emerging technologies, while partnering with Security, Risk, Legal, and Technology leaders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, knowledge management, or related disciplines
• Experience supporting enterprise data governance programs in regulated industries, preferably financial services
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and risk management frameworks
• Proven ability to influence enterprise-wide initiatives without direct authority
