Data Governance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Governance Specialist II to represent Data Governance in assigned data domains and support data quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute data governance initiatives and apply technical skills to support data quality and stewardship
• Curate data catalog and maintain metadata while identifying rules to enhance data quality
• Collaborate with business and IT to resolve data quality issues and develop data analysis through coding

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field or equivalent experience
• 2 - 4 years of related experience in data governance or a similar role
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python, or R, and experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with data modeling and data lineage concepts preferred
• Ability to perform data profiling and root-cause analysis
