Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Data Integrity Technical Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor identity and data integrity work queues and utilize software applications to investigate errors in medical records
• Support patient safety by merging duplicate medical records and updating demographic information in the Epic system
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve data integrity incidents and provide educational opportunities

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related healthcare field
• Less than 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in Revenue Cycle or Healthcare IT
• Proficient in using electronic health records and related software applications
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare nomenclature
• Ability to safeguard protected health information and maintain knowledge of HIPAA
