Data Linguist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Linguist / Annotator / Translator (Italian or Japanese or Korean).

Key Responsibilities

• Annotate, generate, and ensure quality assurance of linguistic data while adhering to guidelines
• Collaborate with other data linguists to resolve ambiguities and inconsistencies in annotations
• Conduct qualitative error trend analysis and develop action plans to enhance data quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Philosophy, Cognitive Science, or Foreign Languages
• Fluency or native proficiency in one of the required languages (Japanese, Italian, or Korean)
• Experience with linguistic annotation and familiarity with text markup formats (JSON, YAML, XML)
• Ability to navigate a Unix terminal and use common command-line tools
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
