Data Management and Analytics Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the VHA Specialty Care Program Office, the full-time Data Management and Analytics Support Specialist will extract, analyze, and interpret complex healthcare data from various VHA systems to inform strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency for Veterans' care.

Key responsibilities

• Access and extract data from VHA enterprise systems to support programmatic reporting and analysis
• Develop advanced models and algorithms to identify data patterns for decision-making and trend forecasting
• Create clear data visualizations and present analytical findings to program managers and senior stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management or analytics, preferably in healthcare or federal programs
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Hands-on knowledge of VHA enterprise systems including CDW, VistA, and others
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential and comply with VA security requirements
• Proficiency in developing advanced data models and presenting insights to non-technical audiences
