Data Manager III

Job Summary

To support the Clinical and Environmental Microbiology Branch, the full-time remote Data Manager III will manage data collection and development, enhance IT solutions for communication and data sharing, and streamline workflows for outbreak investigations and laboratory responses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify electronic solutions for data management, including administrative budgets and laboratory quality management systems
• Create workflow solutions to facilitate data transfer and communication for outbreak investigations and emergency responses
• Serve as the primary liaison for IT inquiries and coordinate with cross-functional teams for external-facing content integration

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in public health data analysis and data management
• Basic proficiency with Excel and databases; familiarity with SQL and reporting tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance
• Experience in data entry, cleaning, validation, and basic quality-control activities
