Data Migration Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, a Data Migration Consultant will partner with public safety agencies to extract, analyze, transform, validate, and migrate historical data into Oracle Public Safety software using SQL and related migration tools.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate source-system data structures and identify relationships and data-quality issues
- Build, test, and maintain repeatable migration logic tailored to each agency's source data and mapping requirements
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to translate migration requirements into reliable technical solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, data migration, or database development
- Proven ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Familiarity with relational databases, such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Effective communication skills to work directly with agency stakeholders
