Data Migration Engineer

Job Summary

To support the data needs of sophisticated nonprofit customers, the full-time Data Migration Engineer will extract, map, format, and import client data from legacy systems into Virtuous, leveraging SQL expertise while working remotely or in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Understand nonprofit data needs and migrate associated fundraising data to Virtuous following best practices
• Map, join, transform, and clean large, complex data sets using SQL
• Collaborate with the internal team on data migration strategy and tooling while adapting to customer requirements

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Migration and/or SQL/dbt environments
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL scripts and transformations
• Experience with dbt and knowledge of the ETL process
• Familiarity with nonprofit software and database design
• Strong written and oral communication skills
