Data Migration Engineer
Job Summary
To support data migration initiatives, the full-time remote Data Migration Engineer will develop strategies for RIS data migration, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, and ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the migration of clinical, operational, and administrative data from legacy RIS systems
- Utilize ETL tools to clean, transform, and prepare data for migration while documenting the entire process
- Provide post-migration support and training for staff on the new RIS system, ensuring data completeness and resolving any inconsistencies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare informatics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of proven experience in data migration within a healthcare environment
- Hands-on experience with data manipulation and migration in RIS, PACS, HIS, and EMR systems
- Proficiency in ETL processes, SQL, and healthcare data standards, including experience with MS SQL Server
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C# or Python, and experience with Linux OS and scripting for data migrations
