Data Migration Lead

Job Summary

Leading the end-to-end data migration workstream, the full-time remote Data Migration Lead will plan, design, and execute the migration of VA's legacy contract and acquisition records into a modernized Appian platform, ensuring data quality and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee source system analysis, data mapping, ETL design, migration execution, validation, and cutover
• Develop the Data Migration Strategy and Plan, including risk assessment and rollback procedures
• Implement data validation frameworks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audit traceability of migrated records

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of data migration experience, with at least 4 years leading enterprise-scale programs for federal clients
• Strong SQL and ETL development skills, with experience in Python, SSIS, Talend, or Informatica
• Experience migrating data from federal legacy systems and understanding data quality challenges
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
