Data Migration Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Migration Specialist to support the Department of Homeland Security in migrating complex data sets from SharePoint to a Drupal-based platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute data migration strategies for SharePoint content into Drupal-based systems
• Develop and maintain automated migration scripts and ETL processes for data extraction and transformation
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of migrated data

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or enterprise platform migration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience performing enterprise data migrations from SharePoint environments
• Experience with data transformation and scripting using tools such as PowerShell, SQL, or Python
• Familiarity with migration tooling such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or DocAve
