Data Migration Specialist
Job Summary
Leading the secure transfer of over 100 TB of sensitive electronic procurement data, the full-time Data Migration Specialist will execute a hybrid migration strategy to a DoD Impact Level 4/5 cloud environment while ensuring zero data loss and compliance with strict encryption standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the logistics, configuration, and execution of bulk offline data transfers using physical cloud appliances
- Design and monitor secure network pipelines for continuous data synchronization leading up to cutover
- Develop automated validation scripts to ensure data integrity and compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) standards
Required qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in cloud data engineering or cloud migration execution
- Expert knowledge of cloud data migration frameworks (AWS, Azure, or Google GovCloud)
- Comprehensive understanding of DoD IL4/IL5 requirements and Zero Trust Architecture principles
