Data Movement Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time contract Sr Data Movement Engineer specializing in Talend and Snowflake, who will manage the full lifecycle of Snowflake data operations, optimize data pipelines, and provide production support for ETL environments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Snowflake data operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines
• Translate stakeholder requirements into Snowflake-specific solutions and develop SQL queries for performance and reliability
• Lead the design and maintenance of Snowflake processes, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehousing and Talend & Snowflake development
• Strong expertise in Snowflake development, data modeling, and security; Snowflake certification preferred
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
