Data Operations Engineer
Job Summary
To support data ingestion systems, the full-time Data Operations Engineer II will build, monitor, and maintain processes that move and transform data across platforms, working remotely or from State College, PA.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, monitor, and maintain data ingestion processes, administering Databricks and the Data Marketplace
- Develop and optimize complex scripts using Python or PowerShell to automate data collection and monitoring
- Own the operational state of data pipelines, including incident response, maintenance procedures, and SQL database management
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in data operations and automation
- Intermediate proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Fully competent in Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL Server
- Experience managing relational databases, particularly SQL
