Data Platform Architect

Job Summary

Data Platform Architect, seeking a full-time remote professional to define and lead the architecture of an enterprise data platform, focusing on ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target-state architecture for the enterprise data platform and establish standards for data modeling and storage organization
• Design end-to-end data pipelines and lead the integration of governance and catalog tools
• Mentor data engineers and architects, produce architecture artifacts, and drive cost optimization across the data platform estate

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Eight or more years of experience in data engineering, with significant time in architecture roles
• Deep expertise in at least two major data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, or Kafka at production scale
• Strong data modeling expertise and experience implementing governance and lineage capabilities
