Data Platform Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Data Platform Architect, the full-time remote position will define and lead the architecture of an enterprise data platform, focusing on ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption layers while collaborating with data engineering and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target-state architecture of the enterprise data platform, including ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers
• Establish standards for data modeling, schema evolution, and storage organization
• Design end-to-end data pipelines and lead the integration of governance and lineage tools

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Eight or more years of experience in data engineering, particularly in architecture roles
• Deep expertise in at least two major data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, or Kafka at production scale
• Strong data modeling expertise across various patterns
