Data Platform Architect

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote Data Platform Architect will define and lead the architecture of an enterprise data platform, focusing on ingestion, storage, processing, and governance while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a scalable data foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target-state architecture of the enterprise data platform, including ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers
• Establish standards for data modeling, schema evolution, and storage organization while leading the integration of governance and catalog tools
• Design end-to-end data pipelines and define security architecture, ensuring alignment with downstream consumption needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Eight or more years of experience in data engineering, with significant time in architecture roles
• Deep expertise across at least two major data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Strong understanding of lakehouse architectures and hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, or Kafka at production scale
• Experience implementing governance, lineage, and catalog capabilities
