Data Platform Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time, remote Data Platform Architect, this role will define and lead the architecture of an enterprise data platform, focusing on ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption layers while collaborating with various teams to ensure a scalable and coherent data foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target-state architecture of the enterprise data platform, including all layers of data management
• Establish standards for data modeling, schema evolution, and storage organization
• Lead the integration of governance tools and design end-to-end data pipelines for optimal performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Eight or more years of experience in data engineering with significant time in architecture roles
• Deep expertise in at least two major data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, or Kafka at production scale
• Strong understanding of lakehouse architectures and data modeling techniques
