Job Summary
To support a growing remote team, the contract Data Platform Administration Architect will manage Databricks and Azure Data Platform administration, focusing on platform architecture, provisioning, and performance optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee administration and optimization of Databricks and Azure Data Platform in enterprise production environments
- Manage incident, problem, change, and release management processes, ensuring effective production support
- Lead platform architecture initiatives, emphasizing security, governance, and cost optimization strategies
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Platform Administration, Platform Engineering, or Data Operations
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Azure Synapse
- Proficiency in Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure DevOps
- Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deployment automation
- Knowledge of ITIL, compliance, and governance frameworks, with a preference for Unity Catalog experience
