Job Summary
Leading a team of data engineers and architects, the full-time remote Data Platform Director will oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of secure and scalable data platforms and pipelines, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs the data engineering department to achieve strategic and operational goals while inspiring and coaching team members
- Owns the quality and performance of data pipelines and platforms, implementing standards and driving continuous improvement
- Matures the data governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective data classification practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or software engineering with a strong technical background
- Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture and performance tuning
- Experience managing multi-layered data engineering teams in complex environments
- Demonstrated expertise in data governance and compliance practices across large teams
