Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support the engineering team, the full-time Data Platform Engineer will execute and extend engineering patterns for Snowflake, manage the build and operation of Snowflake objects and pipelines, and contribute to architecture decisions while working remotely from Canada or the USA.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement and manage Snowflake objects, roles, and CI/CD pipelines for database changes
• Configure and maintain ingestion pipelines and workflows for data integration
• Participate in on-call support and respond to platform alerts while contributing to documentation and runbook updates

Required qualifications:

• 2-4 years of professional experience in software, data, or platform engineering
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and reading explain plans
• Experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, or recent experience with Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
