Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To build core data platform capabilities, the full-time Data Platform Engineer will develop services and APIs for data access and processing while working remotely in the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Build core data platform capabilities, including services and APIs for data access, query execution, ingestion, and synchronization
- Develop reusable integrations through connector frameworks and abstractions for various systems
- Ensure execution reliability by implementing orchestration, retries, and observability for data workloads
Required qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in building maintainable production software
- Experience in developing backend services, data infrastructure, or data platform components
- Solid understanding of relational databases, query optimization, and data management tradeoffs
- Experience with concurrent or distributed workloads, including performance debugging and resource management
- Able to analyze unfamiliar systems and translate complex requirements into practical designs
