Data Platform Engineering VP
Job Summary
Owning the development of a portfolio of data products, the full-time remote VP of Data Platform & Engineering will manage the engineering processes that ensure secure and efficient data delivery while setting standards for AI-native engineering practices.
Key responsibilities
- Build and implement a deploy regime that enables engineers to ship without bottlenecks
- Define and enforce gold-certification by code for data quality and governance
- Oversee data security and governance, ensuring least privilege access and operational excellence
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in data engineering, data platform, or infrastructure, including team leadership
- Proven experience in building data products and teams from inception
- Expertise in data contracts, medallion architecture, and promotion discipline
- Strong understanding of data security principles, including trust boundaries and access control
- Fluency in AI-assisted engineering practices and strong SQL skills
