Data Privacy and Compliance Director

Job Summary

To advance data protection initiatives, the full-time salaried Data Privacy and Compliance Director will implement and oversee compliance strategies, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to global data protection regulations in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute data privacy and compliance strategies in collaboration with the Office of General Counsel
• Lead organizational change through privacy initiatives and manage the implementation of privacy management platforms
• Oversee the fulfillment of Data Subject Access Rights (DSAR) requests and maintain the LSAC Privacy Roadmap

Required qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) with 5+ years of related experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in records management related to retention and compliance
• Experience with data classification policies and relational/unstructured databases like Oracle and Azure SQL
• Preferred IAPP certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) and experience with modern privacy platforms
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for data protection and compliance
