Data Privacy Legal Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director, Data & Privacy Legal.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business leadership and teams to implement data regulations for Americas and EMEA
• Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance program for applicable data rules
• Provide privacy counseling to Product teams and support privacy-related initiatives

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one US state bar
• 15 years of experience in an in-house legal department and private practice on data and privacy issues
• Extensive general privacy experience with a solid understanding of US/EU data laws
• Experience managing and growing a team of lawyers
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences and manage multiple projects
